I grew up in Mid-western Minnesota living the outdoor lifestyle. My dad and grandpa had me in the woods or on a boat before I could even walk. I have always shared their love of the outdoor sports and will forever be appreciative for the experiences I have shared with them and for what they have taught me. I have an intense passion for hunting and, in one way or another, it’s always on my mind. Growing up, I was primarily chasing waterfowl and upland birds with the occasional deer here and there. Since then I have become an archery nut and, while I still do it all, I now spend much more time in the bow stand.
My newest endeavor in the outdoor world involves raising, training, and testing Small Munsterlander Pointers. If I’m chasing birds, my pup, Teal, is helping me put the hurt on the local rooster and duck population.
When not with my amazing family or out in the woods, one does have to work, right!? My other passion in life is business. I have a degree in Business Administration and currently own and operate several small businesses and am always looking into new and exciting business opportunities. Wise men say, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” The other quote that keeps me going is, “The smaller the business, the more room there is to grow!”
As for my personal life, I met the Lord when I was 17 and haven’t looked back. I owe everything in my life to God and wouldn’t have it any other way. I have a beautiful wife and three amazing daughters. Everyone always asks me if I wish I had a son. My answer is always a resounding NO…my daughters can do anything they set their mind to, and I will encourage them in any way I can. My wife and I are quite active in our church; with our young-married group, teaching Sunday school, and both singing on our worship team.
I am extremely grateful to be a part of the THG team. It gives me an amazing opportunity to share my passions and be a part of something much larger than myself. Matthew 7:7-8
